    About the Club

    Charlesworth & Chisworth Cricket Club is a welcoming, community-focused club with a proud history of competitive cricket. We field multiple teams throughout the season, offering opportunities for players of all abilities to enjoy the sport we love.

    Whether you're an experienced player looking for competitive league cricket or a newcomer wanting to pick up a bat for the first time, you'll find a home here at Charlesworth & Chisworth CC.

    • ECB Clubmark accredited: safe, well-run and checked to a national standard.
    • Qualified coaches: junior coaching led by Aaron Bardsley, Derbyshire Young Coach of the Year 2022.
    • Saturday league cricket: in 2027 the 1st XI plays in Division 2 and the 2nd XI in Division 3 of the Derbyshire & Cheshire League.
    • Cricket for all ages: All Stars, juniors, girls' and ladies softball, Saturday and Sunday XIs and Over 40s.

    Interested in joining? We welcome players of all ages and abilities. Membership includes access to nets, social events, and the opportunity to represent the club in league and friendly matches.

    Match fees: £10 on the day for 1st and 2nd XIs, £5 for 3rd XI, £10 for Over 40s (usually includes food after the game). Juniors are covered by family membership.

    Frequently asked questions

    How much is membership?
    Annual membership is £70 for men, £40 for women, £120 for a family, £35 for students or the unemployed, and £12 for social members. Membership covers nets, social events and league and friendly matches, and every playing member receives a sponsored club shirt. Not sure which option fits? Send us a message and we'll point you to the right one.
    Who will reply to my message, and how quickly?
    The captain of the team you're interested in will get back to you, normally within 24 hours. Just tell us which team in your message.
    Where is the ground and where do I park?
    We're on Marple Rd, Charlesworth, Glossop SK13 5DA. There's parking at the club. Simply park up and head to the clubhouse.
    Can I come and watch before deciding?
    Of course. Spectators are always welcome at home games, and the clubhouse is always open on match days. Check the fixtures page for the next home match.
    Can I join as a social member without playing?
    Yes, social membership is £12 a year. Supporters, parents and volunteers are a big part of club life, on and off the field.
    Is there a family membership?
    Yes. Family membership is £120 a year and covers junior cricket for your children too.
